The image of Aylan Kurdi shocked the world and lead to a global outpouring of support for Syrian refugees on humanitarian grounds. This begs the question: why did so many Syrians have to take such a treacherous journey to Europe when there are well-off Islamic countries so close to them? Why the world is so different in Syria & in America? West, oil, religion or the people, whose handiwork is this situation? I am not in a mood to debate. I want my country to be a safe haven for them & all the countries to open their gates too. We should stand againt wars & dirty politics. I am caged in my own free country. I want to be someone who belongs to the Earth, who can walk anywhere without visas. This is the freedom I aspire for & I dream of. This is the freedom I'll fight for.
