On our first halaqa back, we talked about the importance of being thankful for what we have, especially when we compare ourselves to the Syrian refugee crisis happening as we speak. They are forced to leave behind their entire lives and bring along only what they can carry on their backs, in some cases, only their families. To better understand how privileged we are, we decided to play a game that would help us realize the importance of our functioning hands.✌ The task was to carry and drop the tennis balls into the bucket WITHOUT using our hands, and it obviously posed quite a challenge as you can see above! 💪 #ymrichardson #syriancrisis #aylan #aylankurdi #syrianrefugeecrisis #halaqah #muslimyouth #youthgroup #muslims #womenempowerment #socialawareness #muslimwomen #spreadtheword #youth
