👇👇👇👇 Charlie Hebdo last week released a cartoon which mocked Aylan Kurdi the 3 yr old syrian refugee who drowned in the Mediterranean sea last September. The caption on the cartoon read "what would have happened to little Aylan if he grew up? A groper of women in Germany" I truly don't see the purpose of such a cartoon. It does not invite the necessary peaceful dialogue the world should be engaging in regarding the complex refugee crisis we have seen over the last few years. I think such a cartoon actually causes harmful friction and blatantly uses "satire" to offend. While some will say the world is becoming too sensitive I can't help but question why the death of an innocent life - a child - has any reason to be mocked? The irony of such a picture is that everyone is to take the deaths of Charlie Hebdo journalists seriously (and they should) yet the magazine then has a right to mock the death of others under the umbrella of "satire"? Queen Rania of Jordan released the picture you see in front of you as a response to the French satirical magazine. The picture was drawn by a Jordanian cartoonist. #respect #thatspeace #spreadlove #nothate #queenrania #aylankurdi #charliehebdo #hypocrisy
